GreenStreaming @ Streaming Media West
Tuesday, November 20, 2007

Today is opening day of the Streaming Media West show and a few of our team members are out in San Jose, CA. We are demonstrating the new Express Live product and a prototype Live appliance, The GreenStream, as well as meeting with folks and showing off the latest Express Lite, Pro and Premier products.
The GreenStream prototype is a high density, low power real-time broadcasting appliance for full resolution standard definition IP based broadcasting. It is a lightweight 1/2 width 1RU box that bolsters solid state storage with dual core CPU’s and the flexibility to scale to a full 1RU with additional cores for HD resolutions. It’s a GreenStream because it uses only 50 watts of power at peak loads.
The appliance was designed to meet the streaming to web needs of Live Event productions, Sports & Event Broadcasting, Newsgathering, general webcasting and security surveillance markets and you can learn more about it at Streaming Media West with Chris Gottschalk, Co-founder and CTO, in Booth # 625. More information to come on this soon so stay tuned.
